Siri and Judgement?

User: “Siri, I need the morning after pill.”
Siri: “Really?”

I laughed out loud when a podcast demonstrated this. Buzz Outloud, ironically enough.

The Mystery of the Missing iWork

Myself included, people are wondering what happened to iWork 11 with iCloud integration. It’s a pain in the butt to have to download your document from iCould.com and work on it then have to re-upload it so that you can access to it on your iPad or iPhone. Not to mention the formatting issues that causes.

I just had a thought on the way home tonight. What if there is going to be no more iWork or OS X? Maybe Apple is going to make the jump to an iCloud and iOS based iWork only. I’m not sure they can pull it off quite yet, but I think it’s the way to go.

Come on republicans… seriously.

“How come scientists are the only one qualified to confirm their peers results?”
- some republican “strategist” on the global warming hoax.

Plex Laika!

For you home theater PC people out there there is a new version of the Plex Media player and Plex Media Server out and I have to say it’s awesome.  Hands down it puts Plex out in front as the best HTPC solution available.  There way too many new features to go into here.  Go read their blog post about it.

The highlights for me are:

  • Seamless media viewing and sharing among clients (OS X, Windows 7, iOS, Android and several other smart TVs and DVD players.).
  • Seamless media sharing between friends using the new MyPlex cloud based service.
  • Many plugins for third party media providers like TWiT, Revision 3, TED, etc…

Besides all the new bells and whistles they have fixed my major problem on the OS X platform, video and audio sync.  With this release I am ready to say good bye to XBMC and Boxee.

Great job guys, it’s been worth the wait for a new version.  Keep up the great work!

Keep in mind, it’s still beta/pre-release software so it’s a bit buggy, but overall pretty solid.

Can anyone see this?

hi!  If you can see this please like, comment on it or something.  Trying to figure out if this is a facebook or wordpress problem.

Why can’t Jedi fly?

I’ve been watching the new BluRay versions of Star Wars.  There is something I have always wondered.  The Jedi always seem to be falling off things, why can’t they just use the force to “fly” or jump themselves back up?  I mean really, they can lift a fighter out of a swamp and they can’t lift themselves back up to where they fell from?
